The Heart of the Endless Mountains

This website is an ongoing project of Bradford County Tourism Grants Committee, which is supported by Bradford County Room Tax funds.
These funds are collected by lodgings throughout the county and administered by Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau. A portion of those funds is made available for the county to request back through a grant program funding county developed projects such as this website.

          Other projects included:
A contest involving elementary students throughout the county who voted for their favorite mammal, bird, amphibian, reptile, flower and tree to become county symbols. Bradford County Conservation District partnered with Bradford County Tourism Grants Committee for this project. Selected by the children were: Deer, Bald Eagle, Black Eyed Susan, Painted Turtle and Maple Tree.

A media tour took reporters and tourism industry personnel through Bradford County sights and businesses. Endless Mountains Heritage Region was a partner for this project.
A photo-filled colorful brochure with a large map was developed and distributed. This popular item is in it's fourth printing and was requested for distribution by PennDOT's "PA on Display" servicing welcome centers throughout the state. Out of state distribution includes New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia.
A tri-fold brochure listing Bradford County events was printed and distributed annually.
Advertisements featuring Bradford County's slogan were placed in state and regional media including the State's Route 6 and Endless Mountains Visitor's guides.

Press releases keeping the public informed about Bradford County and committee projects were regularly written and distributed.
A County Tourism Marketing Plan was developed.
An "Agri-venture Tour" of visitor-friendly agriculture activities is promoted via the website. "Agri-venture Tour" folders containing brochures of places of interest such as farm markets, fair, festivals, museums and recreational activities such as corn mazes were distributed.
Many Bradford County non-profit organizations also received grants to implement their own projects. These include: Bradford County Regional Arts Council, Wyalusing Valley Musem, Northern Tier Cultural Alliance, Wyalusing Community Corporation, Bradford County Heritage Museum, Home Textile Tool Museum, Sayre Historical Society, Tioga Point Museum, and the Valley Heritage Festival.
